NEWMAN, CA – – Today U.S. Representative Jeff Denham announced receiving the endorsement of four Newman City Councilmembers in his campaign for reelection to the 10th Congressional District. Today’s endorsement announcement includes Mayor Robert Martina, and Councilmembers Nicolas Candea, Casey Graham, and Murray Day.
“Jeff Denham is an essential participant in the growth and stability of the 10th District,” said Councilman Murray Day. “Water, agriculture and sustained growth are critical in our District and Jeff has fought for them and will continue the fight for us.”
Rep. Denham has established himself as the choice of local community leaders in the election as they are overwhelmingly supporting him for reelection. Just this week Denham announced the endorsements of the entire Turlock City Council the Stanislaus County Deputy Sheriffs and now the endorsement of the overwhelming majority of the Newman City Council.
Located in California’s Central Valley, the 10th Congressional District is split between Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties and includes the cities of Manteca, Modesto, Newman, Oakdale, Tracy and Turlock.
U.S. Representative Jeff Denham was first elected to Congress in 2010. He is a local family farmer, small business owner and a veteran. Rep. Denham and his wife Sonia have been married for more than 20 years and they have two children.
